Parker Holman
Head Baseball Coach
Parker Holman will be entering his tenth season as the head coach of the Hawks. The past nine seasons, Holman helped lead the Hawks to their 7th, 8th, 9th,10th, and 11th District Championships, 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, and 17th Regional Appearance, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Region Championship, 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th Sectional Appearance, 1st State Tournament, and the program’s 1st AAA State Championship. Holman helped guide the Hawks in 2018 to set the new school record for wins in a season (33), capture the program’s first birth to the State Tournament, and the first AAA State Championship in program’s history. The 2018 AAA State Championship also served as the first time a Montgomery Co. team has won the State Championship in baseball. In 2018 Holman, was named the Leaf-Chronicle Coach of the Year, Region 5AAA Coach of the Year, Tennessean All-Mid State Coach of the Year, and TN AAA Coach of the Year. Holman has been awarded the District Coach of the Year 4 times and the Leaf-Chronicle Coach of the Year 3 times. During his tenure 43 former Hawks have gone on to continue their baseball careers in the college/professional game.
Before coming to Rossview as head coach, Holman served as an assistant coach during the 2013-2014 season at Sycamore High School, helping lead the War Eagles to their first regional appearance in four years. He also served as an assistant at Rossview High School during the 2012-2013 season, helping lead the Hawks to their third straight District 10 AAA championship and sectional appearances. Parker Holman began his coaching career by founding the Red River Royals organization, leading them to a 32-18 record and a third place finish in 2012 USSSA TN State Tournament.
Holman played collegiately at Freed-Hardeman University under head coach Patrick McCarthy. At Freed-Hardeman, Holman served as a middle infielder for Freed-Hardeman during their first time being ranked 13th nationally in the NAIA Top 25.

During this time, Holman was named All-State in football and baseball in 2007, as well as capturing the Robertson County Player of the Year for baseball in 2007. Holman was named to the Robertson County All-County team for baseball in 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007. Holman is married to Alayna and they have four children Riley, Anna, Kemper, and Daxton. The family resides in Adams, TN.

Caleb Slaughter
Assistant Coach
Caleb Slaughter begins his sixth season assisting with the Rossview Baseball program. A Clarksville native, Slaughter is familiar to the local baseball scene through his works as an instructor and coach. Known for his knowledge of catching, Slaughter will serve as the catching instructor for the high school. Slaughter played a role in the Hawk’s 13th 10AAA District Championship, 12th, 13th, and 14th 5AAA Regional appearance, 7th Sectional Championship appearance, 1st Sectional Championship, and the program’s 1st AAA State Championship. During his time spent as an Assistant Coach, 17 Hawks have went on to continue their career at the college level with 1 MLB Draft selection.
Prior to coaching at Rossview, Slaughter has served both as a head and assistant coach with various amateur organizations. During the 1998-99 season he was an assistant coach at JUCO World Series participant Volunteer State Community College. He has also served as an Associate Scout for the San Diego Padres, Miami Marlins and currently serves in the same position for the Arizona Diamondbacks.
From 1996-1999 Slaughter caught professionally for the Clarksville Coyotes and other independent organizations. He played collegiately at Lincoln Memorial College and Volunteer State Community College. Slaughter prepped at Northwest High School where he was the All-Area MVP and All-Mid State in 1992.
Slaughter was with the Montgomery County Fire Department/EMT for nineteen years and currently serves as the Lead Teacher for the Rossview Fire Academy Program. Coach Slaughter is married to the former Brandy Turner and they have two boys, Caden (15), and Keegan (11). The family resides in Clarksville.

Brad Cooper
Assistant Coach
Brad Cooper begins his third season with the Rossview Baseball program. Brad served as the Head Coach for the middle school program last season, but will be transitioning to just the high school this season. Prior to coaching at Rossview, Cooper was the Head Baseball Coach in Houston, Texas at Houston Westbury High School. After moving back to Tennessee, Cooper went on to be the Head Baseball Coach at Kenwood High School before moving over to be an Assistant Coach at Clarksville High School. During his time at Clarksville High School, Cooper coached football, girls’ basketball, and baseball where they won several district, regional, and sectional championships while appearing in three stat tournaments. Prior to his return to his alma mater, Cooper served as an assistant football coach at Northeast High School where they reached TSSAA semi-finals in back to back seasons. Cooper has coached players that have went on to play in the MLB, NFL, and WNBA.
Cooper has been married to the former Tracy Armbrister for 23 years and they have four children, two girls Riley (22), Eliza (19) and two boys Ford (20), Brady (16). The family resides in Clarksville, Tennessee.
Assistant Coach
Brad Cooper begins his third season with the Rossview Baseball program. Brad served as the Head Coach for the middle school program last season, but will be transitioning to just the high school this season. J.R. Montjoy
Assistant Coach/Head JV Coach
J.R. Montjoy is entering his third season with the Rossview Baseball program. Montjoy will be entering his twelfth year overall in coaching at the high school ranks. Prior to coaching at Rossview, Montjoy spent the last seven years coaching at Northwest High School and also directing the baseball operations at New Providence Middle School. During his tenure at Northwest High School, Montjoy played a pivotal role in helping lead the Vikings to a school record of 25 wins during the 2018 season. Montjoy saw seven players go on to the college ranks during his time there. Prior to that, Montjoy coached at Northeast High School where he saw eight players go on to the college ranks, as well as two that went on to have NFL careers. Montjoy has served as a positive force in the Clarksville baseball community for quite some time, also leading various Clarksville travel teams over the summers.
Prior to coaching, Montjoy prepped at Northeast High School from 1997-2000 where he was selected on the All-District team in 1998, 1999, and 2000, District MVP in 2000, All-Area team in 1998, 1999, and 2000 , and the All-State team in 2000. During his Freshman campaign at Northeast, Montjoy was a starter on the 1997 Northeast team that served as the first team in Montgomery County to ever make a TSSAA State Tournament appearance. The Eagles would go on to finish 4th in the State during the 1997 season. Following high school, Montjoy would go to attend Jackson State CC where he would be selected on the All-Conference and All-State team for the TJCAA. Following Jackson State CC, Montjoy would attend Murray State University on a baseball scholarship.
J.R. Montjoy is married to the former Kristie Phillips, they have three children. They have two sons Coleton (17), Tristan (15) and one daughter Chloe (12). The family resides in Clarksville, Tennessee.

Nick Wheeler

Sam Fagerness
Head JV Coach/Asst. Middle School Coach
Sam Fagerness will be entering his first year on staff here at Rossview this upcoming spring. Fagerness is the head coach of the Junior Varsity program, as well as a Middle School assistant.
Prior to Rossview, Fagerness spent one season on staff at Campbellsville University, in Campbellsville, Kentucky. The Tigers competed at the NAIA level, in the Mid-South Conference. Working with primarily Outfielders and Hitters, Fagerness helped assist a program that recently has had great success this past decade, including 7 MSC regular season or MSC conference tournament championships. During his time there, he helped lead the JV/Freshman Fall Team to a 2nd place finish in the MSC JV tournament after posting an 16-8 regular season record. During the spring, Fagerness coached 1st base as the Tigers went on to finish with a 22-25 record. The 2022-2023 season was Fagerness’ first year of coaching.
Fagerness played his first two years of collegiate baseball at Big Bend Community College in Moses Lake, under head coach Jameson Lange. During his freshman year, Fagerness helped lead his team to its first NWAC Tournament appearance in 15 seasons, after a Super regional upset of Tacoma Community College. He played the corner outfield spots for the Vikings that spring, while also finishing Top 15 in RBIs in the Conference. After his Sophomore year, Fagerness signed to play at Campbellsville University, where he competed for three more seasons, under legendary coach, Beauford Sanders. Sanders is now in year 34 at Campbellsville. At Campbellsville, Fagerness was named team captain all three years, as well as the MSC Champion of Character winner for the 2021 and 2022 seasons. Fagerness appeared at 6 different positions in 3 seasons with the team.
Sam Fagerness is from Napavine, Washington, where he played under both Brian Bullock and Brian Demarest at Napavine High School. During his time in High school, Fagerness was a 4-year letter in both baseball and football, while also competing in basketball for two years. During his time with football, he appeared in 3 straight state championships, winning the state championship his senior year, while also being named an All-area LB his Junior and Senior year. In Baseball, he helped lead the Tigers to state final four appearances in both his Freshman and Senior seasons. He was an all-area 2B, all 4 years. His Senior year he was named the County’s Athlete of the year.
Fagerness’ parents, Dave and Heidi still live in Chehalis, Washington. His twin brother, Mac, lives in Clarksville with him. His younger sister is currently set to graduate next spring from Central Washington University.

Prior to Rossview, Kenneth has been a coach for 41 seasons. From 1986-2023, he served as a Head Coach at Springfield Middle School in both football and basketball. On the gridiron, he accumulated 16 undefeated seasons with numerous bowl victories to wrap up the seasons. As for the hardwood, his teams were crowned Robertson County Champions 30 times while also winning the TNT State Middle School Championship 3 times. In his 37 years of coaching at Springfield Middle School, he totaled 859 wins while also witnessing 100+ athletes be able to continue their careers on to the high school level and eventually collegiate and even pro level. Holman, also served as the Head Coach for Springfield High School in baseball from 1996-2007. While coaching 3 different sports during this time, he was able to help lead the Yellow Jackets to 2 Regional Appearances over his 10 year stint.
Holman received his first coaching job at Jo Byrns High School where he served as the Head Coach for football from 1982-1986. During his time there, the Red Devils made their 1st ever playoff appearance following the TSSAA new classification rule in the 80s.

Holman was also an All-State selection for baseball following his Junior and Senior seasons. He currently still holds the strikeout record for the Red Devils baseball program.
Following high school, he attended Austin Peay State University where he received his Bachelors degree in Human and Health Performance as well as Biology. He would later obtain a Masters Degree in Administration and Supervision from Trevecca University.
Kenneth has been married to the late Tracy Ann Glascock for 40 years. They have one son Parker (34). He is also the proud Grandfather to 4 grandchildren Riley (14), Anna (8), Kemper (8), and Daxton (3). The family resides in Adams, TN.
